The Worst Restaurants In The World

Now that San Pellegrino has released its much-talked about “Top 50 Restaurants In The World,” we all know that legendary Spanish snack shop El Bulli was displaced by some Danish upstart.  Of course, who really cares what some sparkling water thinks about a bunch of uber-expensive restaurants that are impossible to get a reservation at anyway?  The more important questions for the rest of us are “what are the worst restaurants in the world”, “have I eaten there?” and “if so, should I have enjoyed it as much as I did?”

Well, fortunately the good folks at the Chicago Tribune have done the research and provided a  comprehensive list of the Top 50 Worst Restaurants In The World.

Thank you for visiting Allegations of Deliciousness.  We hope you stick around for future posts and comment whenever the spirit moves you.  The following answers some basic questions you may have about the substance of this publication:

We are two New York City lawyers who prefer terms like “sous-vide” and “amuse-bouche” to terms like “res ipsa loquitur” and “per stirpes.”

  • J. Burger: Female. Not married. No children. No pets. Born in Southeast Asia but raised in the South. Brooklyn represent!
  • J. Frankfurter: Male. Married. Two children. Two pets. Born and raised in New England. Queens represent!

We discuss eating food, making food, ordering food, shopping for food, watching shows about food and, of course, drinking.

There are no geographic boundaries with the magic of the interwebs.

We will add new material as often as we can come up with clever things to say about food. And we’re pretty clever people.

Because there aren’t enough food blogs on the internet already.  Actually, we really enjoy food and have plenty of opinions (of the non-binding precedent variety).  And as we all know, no opinion can be genuinely valid unless it is expressed anonymously on the internet.

Like the food we eat, we would prefer that the blog grows organically.

We look forward to sharing our thoughts with you, and to hearing yours.  Eat, drink and be merry.

Very truly yours,

J. Burger & J. Frankfurter
